Here are a few pictures from when my Wendi (my wife) and I lived in Mexico (1998-1999)

We lived in a city called Puebla which is the capital of the state of Puebla. I believe the city has about 1.4 million inhabitants.

This is a large church that was a few blocks from my apartment in Mexico. I took this picture from the roof of our apartment building.
This is a picture taken on the 16th of September, also known as Mexican Independence Day. In the evening, everyone wanders around the town center (Zocalo) and sprays everyone else with cans of foam. I was a favorite target being so obviously foreign.
This is a picture of the volcano Popocotapetl. The volcano was about 25 miles from our apartment and every now and then started to smoke and belch. After this happened, the whole city would be covered with ashes. It was quite a mess. This is a picture I took from the roof of my apartment.
This is a picture of the Zocalo (town square) in Puebla Mexico. Every town in Mexico has a town square, and it is usually a good place to find if you are a tourist.
